Keeping on with digital distribution service Good Old Games' Fallout week, we present to you a Fallout 2 retrospective interview.
In this one, we hear from the game's designers, as well as those who weren't involved after the first time and how they compare the two games. It's a great story which goes into a lot of the factors working against the team at the time -- a must-read for any Fallout fan.
Interesting to note is the Fallout MMO that seemed to be canned by Bethesda (who would overtake the license if Interplay didn't have enough work done in time) is still going ahead, as designer Chris Taylor (Fallout 2) reveals the details on what they have in mind for the game.

The success of the original Fallout dictated that Black Isle Studios and Interplay craft a riveting and worthy follow-up. Such suffocating pressure brought about a reshaped development team that saw many familiar faces leave the figurative Vault in pursuit of other goals.

Since last I checked, if Interplay didn't hand over the goods by the specified date or get their finances in the black again then the MMO project would be given to Beth Soft as well as everything to do with the Fallout franchise. Unless this Chris Taylor isn't part of Interplay or Black Isle Studios anymore and is taking it upon himself now
