This is an explanation of how Konami's idea to use Konami IDs to login instead of using Playstation Network IDs turned out to not be a good idea after all.

When you downloaded the MGO beta, you did not get it from PSN. It was via P2P networking or an http: connection. This kept Konami from having to pay bandwith fees, as well as share profits for downloadable content, but created the need for a log in aka the Konami ID.

While these measures may have raised Konami’s profit margins, their overall earnings definitely suffered.

It's not exactly a secret, I've known for some time anyway

Same here, I know for fact that MGOs dailly play would double if it was put to PSN log-in.

So many people are frustrated they leave, leaving only the most die-hard (And best) fans playing. Making little diversity between skill levels and the whole thing a struggle to win, leaving little time for fun...

Suppose in that sense KONAMI have made the greatest war sim of all time XD

Little diversity between skill levels and the whole thing a struggle to win? Dude, I've been playing MGO for a week, after 2 days my kill/death ratio was .48, and now after a week it's up to 1.06. It's only a struggle to win if you make yourself sniper fodder. And I don't see the problem with Konami ID's. It's set to auto-login, so it plays just like any other multiplayer game. I don't understand how anyone could get "frustrated".

True but the Konami and MGO have alienated a part of there fanbase which isn't cool at all.

How have they alienated anyone? MGO1 was on the ps2, not like that used the easy psn to get online. Not like MGO1 had a huge fanbase anyway. I really dont understand your statement one bit. Perhaps you could elaborate.

I think he's talking about how MGO2's not the same as MGO1 in termws of gameplay. Or how other people like to call it..."n00b friendly", which is a pathetic excuse for them to whine about anyways.
