Multiplayer Mode Confirmed For Uncharted 2 - Beta Starts June 3rd

Thus far it was simply a rumour, but today it has been confirmed. The 'big' news that was said to have been releasing today has been released on the US Playstation Blog, and a Multiplayer Mode has been confirmed for the game.

As for how it relates to inFamous... simple... the Beta for the Multiplayer Mode will be available through vouchers within inFamous boxes. Whilst it was originally thought of to be strictly for Best Buy, it seems that all games included within the first batch of inFamous should include the Beta Codes.

So the rumors are true and we can finally talk about it! As you’ve heard and read, UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves will have both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.

      Well if you're getting inFamous on release then you can bet that you'll get the code and thus the beta...

        Well, I can't be sure I'll be able to get it at launch. I'm crossing my fingers, though.

        Question: Will the beta last indefinitely, or does it have a specific timeframe?

          Doubt it, probably a two week long beta.

    All i can say is that I hope it near enough lasts a month, beings my exams will prevent me from playing any PS3

    Holy crap. I was actually really upset when I read it had multiplayer, but after watching that trailer, it was awesome!

      I don't know, I was going to buy it before Multiplayer was confirmed. Now that it has been confirmed, I'm thinking of skipping... I prefer it soo much more when a game is solely Single Player, since the developers tend to focus that much more on that mode... Will have to see about this game now...

        Well after readin the eurogamer preview, it relieved my doubts about. They made sure that teh single playe wasn't hindered and that they actually started working on the co-op and multiplayer when they knew the single player was near completion. So if the online sucks, atleast the single player will still be good.

    I'm glad no one buys PS3 games in my town, I'll have no problem getting a voucher with InFamous. That being said, I was going to get InFamous regardless of the voucher.

    Coop is gonna send this game through the roof with critics and fans alike. Can't wait!
