A2M's promising-looking acrobatic shooter/swordfighter 'Wet', as it turns out, just about kicked the bucket due to that whole Activision Blizzard/Vivendi merger thing. Luckily publisher/developer Bethesda Softworks have come in and brought the game to safety!

The fate of the game was imperiled by The Great Vivendi Franchise Culling of 2008, though we're pleased to hear it won't be wandering the vaporware wasteland much longer -- according to the release, Wet is set to moisten PS3s and Xbox 360s come this fall.

As an interesting aside, the press release also reveals that Buffy vet and current Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku will provide the pipes for Wet's armed-to-the-teeth protagonist, Rubi Malone. Oh, you picked Faith to voice your sassy, violent femme? Way to think outside the box, guys.

I don't even know what Wet is. Never heard of it. Until now, of course. So tell me, anyone think this is a game worth saving?

Naturally, or they wouldn't have saved it.

In my opinion, (without changing a lot) no. It looked like a typical mindless action game; a love child of Devil May Cry and Max Payne styled off of Tomb Raider and dipped in Uncharted.

That said, that's just from the little that was released. I may be wrong, and with Bethesda picking it up I think they'll find a few ways to make it a little more then that.

I've heard of it like 2 or 3 times before, but I've never really seen enough to get interested in this games.

I'll check out more of this game later, hopefully its good.

Oh no it'll come to the PS3, just six months later and not get any of the content or updates on the PC/360.
