Ubisoft has announced its sales data for the fourth fiscal quarter, saying they are focusing heavily on the 2009 line up. They also announced the next installment in the Ghost Recon series. They said that they hope to release Ghost Recon 4 in late 2009 or sometime in 2010.

Ubsisoft also confirmed that a brand new Ghost Recon game, called just "Ghost Recon 4" will be released in "2009-2010", just as CVG revealed earlier this year.

"In 2008-09, we... continued to invest heavily in Ubisoft's future potential, hiring some 1,300 talents for our studios with a view to driving the Company's expansion, further strengthening our franchises and preparing for the next generation of handheld as well as home consoles," the company said in a statement.

Hmm, the last Ghost Recon was Warfighter 2 right?

Yes, it was Warfighter 2. But I suppose that they're considering the two Warfighter as being a complete Ghost Recon 3 when put together. Or else, it wouldn't be called GR4.

I haven't liked the Ghost Recon games since I played GR 2. I couldn't get into GRAW or GRAW 2, maybe they'll change it up some?

I never played the previews GR games, but played both GRAWS and like them. Hope the new one is like that.

I would prefer a gameplay like the original GR game. I wasn't really appealed by what I read about GRAW and I still curse people who decided to cancel GR2 on PC.
