New PSN avatars on the way

After many many months of silence the news has finally come along that Sony is going to bolster the number of selectable avatars to use for your PSN profile. Since there has only been one real solid update for this area I say its about time. Infamous, LittleBigPlanet and Wolverine avatars are expected to feature.

Well good news for every single one of you. In a recent PSW Magazine it stated "new psn avatars are on the way" so everyone get ready because they are coming. Probably within the next month its been said, but no date has been confirmed. Withing the last 2 weeks there has been 1 new avatar added. A 'Super Fly'.

    Well, I was happy . . . until I read that there will be a Prototype avatar on the PSN.

    This puts doubt on the source on my part, because WHY would they put an upcoming 360 exclusive-based avatar on the PSN?

      Prototype isn't a 360 exclusive. Never has been.

        Tiger . . . it isn't? Are you serious?! Man, all this time I was thinking that it was a 360 exclusive and is why inFAMOUS and Prototype seemed to be so . . . well opposite sides of a coin.

    Anyways, I'm still following my idea that they should let us use unlocked trophy icons as Avatars.

    Yeah, Prototype is multiplatform. I've had a Prototype avatar on PSN for a while now, but if there'll be good ones in the new batch, I might change it.

    I still want to be able to make my own avatars. It's just no fun to have the same avatar as thousands of others... Even though I still haven't exactly found anyone else with the same avatar as myself. >_>

        Lol, I'm kinda most excited about the sackboy ones coming, because hopefully that'll add a good bit for a while.

    If people have feedback to give to Sony, give it to them, they are always open for ideas of improving the online community over at their official blog.

    Cool that there will be more avatars, but I don't really care much. I don't need any more avatars, they're not particularly purposeful anyway. (is that even a word? )
