Gametrailers is again in the spotlight for their comparison videos between the PS3 and 360, though not for the right reasons. It's been discovered that during one such video between the differing versions of X-men Origins: Wolverine a significant portion of the video was 360 on both sides despite labeling, unless the PS3 has a A button now in any case. While I personally don't believe they are biased against the PS3, at the very least this is very shoddy work.

The same events appear again, different game but with a same action occurred. This will only create a great benefit for fanboys, trolls and well Gametrailers. The clicks, views and page impressions from millions of users will generate some good revenue. Although this could most likely affect their credibility as gaming journalists, their forums are filled with rabid fanboys and grotesque biased moderators with other agenda’s. The only real question remains, why do fanboys make video game comparisons when these games are simply made for playing and not comparing? The gameplay will not be affected by graphics, sure the eye candy is good but for multiplatforms most games will look exactly the same until someone with who zooms into a highly low compressed screenshot counting each pixel or missing out on a few hundred entirely to say one has better textures over the other then causes a flame war ending with either restricted access to the website or forum.

Naughty Gametrailers. Reasons like that are why I usually read reviews or don't bother, rather than watch them.

Sure, these people are expected to give a revie that's mutual for each console, but who's to know if they're trying to be biased or not without making it too obvious?

The video editor began his post by saying that he isn't a 360 fanboy, then proceeded to prove himself to be one by the end of it.

Lol, I read this guy's blog and I couldn't believe he's one of the staff. Some of the shit he said is *bleep*ing unbelieveable. Well he can say goodbye to his job now.

ave you tried playing any of the previously mentioned multi-platformed titles on the PS3 with that awkward, unintuitive Sony controller?
Yes I have and coped just fine. For me, the difference between the controllers is negligible and you get used to both in a short amount of time anyway.

Both controllers have their respective pluses and minuses, but are essentially the same setup, indeed.

      PS3 Controller:

+ Easier for the majority to use (compact size, without being small)
+ Intuitive (source writer is full of crap)
+Rechargeable, battery lasts a good amount of time even with rumble in use.
-L2/R2 not great for FPS type games (convex, instead of the less slippery concave)
-Dual Analog stick setup don't seem to work as well for some games (FPS and Skate namely)
-Older model (SIXAXIS) has no rumble, and feels less sturdy (though is still durable)

      360 Controller
      +Just feels SOLID
+Raised, colorful buttons promote a more arcade-y feel, and it works.
-A bit big for people with small hands.
-It's clear the controller was designed with FPS games in mind (But then again, works fine with games in general, not really a minus TBH)
-Batteries either need replacement, or you need to buy a play and charge kit

I like both controllers pretty equally, but I think I prefer Sony's, except with the aforementioned FPS genre, and Skate.

About half of those for the controllers are down to personal preference.
The only thing that stands in that is the no rumble and rechargeable batteries.

I actually find the PS3 controller to feel cheap and plasticy. It's way too light, weight-wise. And I hate the setup of the analog sticks, they are too close to eachother. I prefer one analog stick being on the top-left and the other being on the bottom-right, like the 360 controller.

And not to mention the biggest downfall of the PS3 controller, the L2 and R2 buttons/triggers/whatever they are supposed to be. They feel nothing like triggers, as they actually make your finger slide off of the button instead of into it. It feels like everytime I press L2/R2 it's going to break.

Lol, I DID mention the L2/R2 thing though.

You like the 360 controller for your own reasons, that's what it really comes down to, an opinion, a personal preference.

I agree, I'm always afraid my PS3 controller triggers are going to bust. However, apart from the difference of triggers, the Dualshock has been the ongoing design of the PS brand for three generations, and it's worked perfect up until the addition of triggers.

Personally I prefer the Dualshock controller. But really when I play on either system, I don't have a problem with using either one. Both handle equally with me (though like some have said, the triggers on the DS3 could use some revamping).

Bias in the gaming industry is becoming like a poison, ruining things for the normal gamers. I can respect opinion, but passing off opinion as fact, or worse, deliberately tainting things with your bias to make your opinion look more solid . . . seriously has no excuse whatsoever. It's childish.

Those comparison videos can't be trusted. They just get 1 console and play around with the video options.

What? I don't think i've ever seen a graphical control interface on a console game

I believe he/she may have been talking about the video options for the recording program and not the console itself.
