PSN to SEN: Time to rage quit? - DarkFeed

Remember the fuss we caused with that Bayonneta: God of War killer article? That was fun, wasn't it?
Guerilla Games' (Killzone 2) Managing Director Herman Hulst is on our side with this whole thing, introducing some democracy into the mix.
Basically, for those that still bother with this 'franchise X killer' nonsense, grow up, cause the people that make these games sure aren't doing it!
“We generally don't mind comparisons, as I can think of worse franchises to be compared to than Halo or Call of Duty,” Managing Director Herman Hulst said. “What I don't like is being labeled as the ‘killer’ of franchise X. We've set up Killzone as a universe and an experience in its own right, without wanting to benchmark it against any one particular game. We're, obviously, gamers ourselves and we play anything from World of Warcraft to LittleBigPlanet to MotorStorn or Guitar Hero, but there isn't one title that has been the biggest influence.”

I like this article. He states it very well when he says "We're, obviously, gamers ourselves and we play anything from World of Warcraft to LittleBigPlanet to MotorStorn or Guitar Hero, but there isn't one title that has been the biggest influence." I agree, I mean come on people! Why can't we enjoy BOTH games and say BOTH games are fun. Why do we have to have one kill the other? Give me a break!
Before the game came out, I've personally asked people what I believe to be a more interesting question in "Can Killzone 2 be Sony's Halo?," and I've been attacked for it, certainly because some cannot remove their fanboy filter and decipher a simple question. So many PlayStation fanboys always answer with, "Sony doesn't need Halo, Microsoft can keep that crap." Well, it's quite obvious to me that if Microsoft never had Halo, things would be just a tad bit different in the console race, which alludes to the whole purpose of my question. If Sony had a 'Halo,' how would things be different?
Regardless, quality is subjective, and sales do not go hand in hand with quality. These devs are not the ones in direct competition with each other, and it's never a bad thing to have more options (games) to choose from.
