Capcom Releasing between 20 and 40 PSN Games

Capcom have announced they are going to make between 20 and 40 PSN games in coming months. They will most likely follow famous franchises like Street Fighter, Resident Evil and others.

"We'll definitely be looking at a lot of titles that have things like Street Fighter and Resident Evil in the title," Kramer said. "We're thinking about putting together a long list of the titles we're looking at, and then releasing it on Capcom Unity and having people vote on them. Ultimately we're looking at bringing between 20 and 40 titles to the PSN over the next several months."

    As long as these titles come out on the PSP's PSN Store, I'll be happy. But, where's the love for the XBLA?

        im not upset with them, just wondering why it took them so long to do this considering how long PSP and PS3 have been out.

          Well, talking with a few of them in charge of all that, it's got a lot to do with the legalities. You have to talk with everyone who was involved in the game (if any of those moved on, quit, changed jobs, etc. it makes it all the harder to hunt the people down and get their paperwork done). Then if anything crossed region lines, it takes even more paper work to get it done.

          Capcom may not have said at the PS3's launch "Hm, hey I think it'd be a GREAT idea to release all these games!" Maybe they only thought of doing it within the past year or 6 months even! Afterall, they have been working on several other games and projects throughout these 2.5 years of the PS3 (And the PSP just gets neglected altogether, so . . .)
