FIFA To Thrash PES!

ITANI | May 29, 2007 | News | Misc
EA Marketing man is very confident that the next Fifa game is going to thrash PES. He also says that the amount of players purchasing Fifa has been increasing by selling 1.7 million with the most recent Fifa game, while Pro Evo 7 struggles to reach 1 million.
EA is feeling as confident as ever about the yearly FIFA vs PES battle as FIFA 08 and PES 7 prepare to do battle for another season.

"I'm happy to say that we're comfortably on top in the whole FIFA vs Pro Evolution Soccer battle," marketing manager Dan Holman told UK trade mag, MCV. Our market share has kept on increasing over the past three years, and more and more core gamers are being converted to FIFA all the time."

The bullishness doesn't end there either. "We've sold 1.7 million copies of the last FIFA and Pro Evo is lagging behind on just over a million," continued Holman, adding, "With the new platforms in place, we're confident that we will attract even more football fans to FIFA - both existing gamers and the wider, non-gaming football community."

The big battle between Pro Evo and FIFA really doesn't bother me, I enjoy both the game and plan on getting both of the games for Xbox 360. Both games have their highs and lows so I find it hard to judge which one I prefer, therefore I buy and play both.

I can't really see it happening to be honest. As long as I have played both Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA games, PES has always owned FIFA in my eyes. On PES there's so much to do, but on FIFA it bores the death out of me.

EA is just in it for the money. Pro Evo had been catching up with the Fifa series in sales, all the PES series needs is alot more licensing and good commercialization and it will go a long way. PES 6 did pretty damn good.

I can't really believe FIFA actually released that statement. I think they know for a fact that the public, like Pro Evoulution Soccer a lot more than they like FIFA to be honest.

PES6 is a better game, most magazines reviews will tell you this, although you could argue its personal opinion. Fifa grabs more sales due to their advertising, any sporting event will be covered with Fifa adverts when Fifa 08 is released, PES6 advertised slightly more then it did with previous versions but no where as near as EA Sports did with Fifa 07!

The only reason PES gets threashed by FIFA is because FIFA has all the real teams, whilst PES would need to buy licences at extortionate prices to feature all the real teams and therefore only uses one or two of them. So to be honest, FIFA coming ahead of PES is no surprise to me.

FIFA may beat PES in terms of liscences & popularity, but in terms of an overall better game, PES wins hands down. There is no sporting game out there (and I am refering to all sports) as in depth and precise as PES.

No way, FIFA does not beat PES. PES has so much better gameplay and graphics, FIFA's players a fat as hell!

I have played the older games of PES and they sucked personally and always buy Fifa I can't say whether PES has gotten better cause I don't no, but Fifa is a very good game, I don't know if it's better than PES but it is still a good game.
