Electronic Theatre reports on a warning issued by Tiga regarding the proposed cuts to university funding in the UK, citing the eventual effect on the UK position in the worldwide videogames market as of bearing importance.

Tiga warned the Government today against slashing higher education funding. John Denham, Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills, warned the university and further education sectors in a letter yesterday that they will have to make spending reductions of £300 million next year.
