Call of Duty Black Ops Voted ‘Best Game Ending’ Of All Time

So apparently, the Wii is not getting Silent Hill 5, but don't get me wrong, this isn't about licensing or graphics or performance - could it be because Nintendo prefers games targetted for a family and Silent Hill is a bit too hardcore?
Printed rumors claim that Silent Hill 5 is coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, but it looks like Wii will be left out of the loop. And it's not because of horsepower, but because of the antiquated perception that it's only a family console.
"While Nintendo Wii sales are very high, and I applaude Nintendo for their sucess, I dont think Silent Hill is a game that would be sold on Nintendo Wii as much as a game like Zelda would worldwide. This by no means says we will not consider the idea but the general opinion is that Wii is for family games and im sure the fans don't play Silent Hill with their grandma!"

Besides that, Silent Hill has always been pushing the technology of consoles. Silent Hill 2, 3, or 4 are probably the best looking games on the PS2 ever.
They were employing dynamic lighting and shadows way before even Doom 3 was.
I was actually thinking that Konami would've probably made some kind of Light Gun shooter for the Wii as they did for the Silent Hill Arcade game, though Arcade's visuals looked way too good to be on the Wii.
"use a downward thrusting motion to stab the flesh eating zombie in the eyeball" doesn't exactly scream "NINTENDO".
Manhunt 2 will probably have less gore than the first, being primarily for the Wii.
Anyway, my guess is that this is less about Wii's family nature and more about the difficulty of making a good control scheme for Wii. You see, developing a good game for Wii depends almost solely on the control scheme and motion controls put into the game. This is something new for many developers, who are used to putting together a great looking game, then making a usable control setup.
