Though we'd all but confirmed a couple weeks ago the classic action title Gunstar Heroes would be coming to XBLA, today sees the official announcement from publisher Sega. More, we learn the game is due for PSN, too.

On top of this news, Sega is working on bringing Altered Beast, Shinobi, Comix Zone, Phantasy Star II, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles to XBLA, which is leaving some gamers peeved, given Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection offers 49 games for $30, as opposed to the case here where it would be an estimated $35 for seven games.

I think Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection should have been individually released on XBLA and PSN as it wasn't really a proper retail game. Nonetheless, I am a big Sega fan and can't wait for some of the titles to come to the XBLA. One question, where's Daytona and Sega Rally???
