I've had some high schools in Donkey Kong back in the coinop glory days, but this is ridiculous!

"Steve Wiebe, everyone's favorite underdog from King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, will be at this year's E3, trying to take back the Donkey Kong high score from the current reigning king Billy Mitchell (yes, he got it back again). Billy's sitting on 1,050,200, while Steve's highest official score is 1,049,100."

To encourage Wiebe's trek to the top, Stride Gum is stepping in and offering Steve $10,001 in quarters if he's able to take back the record from Mitchell. That's certainly a bit better than a handshake from Walter Day or the creepy Mappy guy.
