SSB Brawl Update: Cracker Launcher

This item looks hilarious in my opinion. It seems that it will work like the gun from SSBM, it shoots different colors of balls.
It is also a bit huge, and it looks like a lantern. It made me laugh when I saw it.

Characters hold the Cracker Launcher with both hands, and then unleash a wave of colorful explosions upon enemies. Characters can move around and jump while holding this item. Players can tilt the control stick up or down to aim the Cracker Launcher at different angles, although Director Masahiro Sakurai did not clearly specify if he meant the GameCube or Classic Controller, or the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

    Cracker launcher..... what an odd name. If Sakurai said you can aim with it, I think he is referring to the Wii-mote, unless of course, you use the c-pad to aim with it, which while walking, would be a bit annoying to do.

    And how can the Gamecube controller be tilted to change the direction of where you aim, is that even possible? Surey that feature is for the Wii Remote only...

    Does look like a fancy weapon though, should be good.

    You can tilt it up and down by tilting the control stick up and down. Not really rocket science here.

    Now, I'm not a racist, but the first thing that went through my mind was a rocket launcher that only the white characters could use.

    LOL nice name. But as for the weapon itself, it looks pretty beastly, and err.. colourful. Reminds me of a pumped up version of that laser gun you had in Melee.

      After that, elongated chopsticks that are used as melee weapons. At that rate, the sequel will be Super Smash Brothers: Stereotyping.

    I wonder if this means that there will be a heavier focus on Smash Bros. original items, as opposed to the standard Nintendo set like mushrooms and heart pieces?

    oh, thats what a cracker launcher is, it was mentioned on neoseeker somewhere. i thought it launched crackers (food) but thats sweet!!!!

    Sounds pretty cool, specially the ability to walk and launch even while jumping, but i would say the part i like best would be the fact you can aim it at different angles.

    Definately sounds like an awesome weapon. It also brings up the idea to have firework battles with friends. I'm likin' this.
