Team Fortress 2: Spy update instead of Sniper?

TF2 Official Blog is indicating that it will be not a sniper update but a spy one. Indeed, instead of having a new thing revealed for sniper, today, we found a page about Spy and two new gadgets. And another thing is pointing towards it: the fact that we have a link and a date for a Spy update. The update will be released the 21st May, according to the blog.

Actually, we don't know if what was revealed during the past three days will remain, if the sniper will get these weapons in a future update (if it's indeed a spy one coming next week) or if the two maps and the new mode are still in the update.

Day 4 of the Sniper update brings us... hold on, that's not...

Holy hell. All those conspiracy theorists on the TF forum couldn't have been right all along, could they? Pyro's going to be inconsolable now.

    That was freaking...brilliant! Although it's rather mean for the Sniper players out there, I'm more than happy to accept more Spy equipment, as he's my favorite class (besides the Medic, of course).

      I just hope that if it's indeed a spy one, the spy will not get too much overpowered.

    The Steam forums have always had a little rumor going that whatever update we were on, it was actually a Spy. Looks like it actually happened... nice.

    I don't have a link, but I read somewhere that it will be both a Spy and Sniper update.

      I remember that some were saying that because of a missing graphic feature, it will be a spy update when it was the scout. Well, I told people to see that the same title was used elsewhere and that it was probably a reuse. Or I remember also the famous "spy eyes" on the scout.

      Someone told me the same when playing yesterday. However, I don't really go on Steam Forums or on other sites, I'm just looking to the blog for that kind of stuff.

      If it's confirmed that it's a double update, then, I'll be happy but also a little disappointed. I'm really looking for the two and I would have prefer one at the time.

        nah i think it's best that they're both released at once. both updates were bound to be annoying for everyone playing any other class. at least this way it should even out a little bit.

          Well seeing under that angle... but well, I know some servers that will put a limit to sniper and spy, it would be annoying at hell to have only spies or snipers on servers when playing. I'm also sure that I will be primary target as medic - it will have at least one or two achievements with killing medic. Pyros had igniting three, heavies had to kill a heavy/medic duo and scout... Scouts had to kill one and also to stun uber people (the medic mainly).
