Apparently a new Dragon Ball Z is being worked on for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is expected to ship in Japan and Europe around the time of October 1st, 2009 and March 31st, 2010. Nothing has been said about North America yet, but they expect the game to ship there around the same time as Europe and Japan.

According to Namco Bandai’s fiscal report for 2008-2009, a new Dragon Ball Z game is in development for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The unannounced title appeared under software forecasts section on the tenth page of the report. It is expected to ship in Europe and Japan in the second half of the 2009-2010 fiscal period (October 1, 2009 - March 31, 2010). Keep in mind that Atari publishes the Dragon Ball games in North America, so the new title will also arrive within the same timeframe in that region. Namco Bandai plans to sell 800,000 copies of their upcoming game in Europe and Japan for the fiscal period.

Although the new Dragon Ball Z title has yet to be revealed, it is most likely a sequel to the Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit fighting game released in 2008 on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Dragonball Online has been in development for a while now, and was never hinted toward a console release. Knowing how money hungry NamDai is, they more than likely want to make it a multiplatform release.

Wasn't impressed by Burst Limit at all - same old same old, and at that I personally think the Sparking/Budokai Tenkaichi series had a much more impressive fighting system, and better 3d motion. Still not the free-roaming brawler many have been looking forward to for years now (since technology is up to date and more than capable of handling it) - but that lazy-ass company likely won't be heading in that direction anytime soon.

Agree 100%. Burst Limit was exactly the same as the old Budokai series, only with some fancy event pieces and graphics thrown in to dupe fans into buying it.

I never played any other DBZ games. I played the Burst Limit demo and found it VERY fun. Decent artstyle and everything. So based on that, I'm hoping they improve upon it, and cover the entire DBZ story. Then I'll really buy it

To me, Budokai 3 is the best...I bought and barely played Burst Limit, lost interest that fast.

Super DBZ is my favorite so far. I hope the new game is not going to be a sequel to burst limit, I hated that game. A current-gen, Tenkaichi-style DBZ game is what I'm waiting for.
