Game in the New Play Control! series, remakes of past game for the Gamecube with new controls for the Wii, have to this point received expected controls, but New Play Control! Chibi-Robo is set to turn the control system completely around. Instead of using an analog stick you will point and click, possibly to match the original concept of the game before Nintendo and Skip Co. began co-developing the game.

Like other games in the New Play Control! lineup Nintendo revamped Chibi-Robo with motion control. In this version you point with the remote and click to make the tiny robot move. Originally, players controlled Chibi Robo with the analog stick on a Gamecube pad.
