Earlier this weekend, scans from the July issue of Nintendo Power made their way to the internet, showing that the Eighting-developed Wii-only fighter, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes will actually see a release in North America. The game was thought to be too tough to localize due to licensing issues similar to what currently plagues games like the Super Robot Taisen and Jump! Super Stars series.

The North American release will see an updated HUD, but whether new characters or online play will come or now remains to be seen, although producer Ryota Niitsuma teased that announcements could be coming soon.

The game is expected to release this Winter. Scans are courtesy of The VT.

Tatsunoko is a famed Japanese animation company. They're known for such hits as G-Force, Speed Racer, Evangelion, Samurai Pizza Cats, and Karas.

Nah. Since the game has been out in Japan for a while, the roster has already been revealed. There's about 11 from each side.

And to answer an earlier question, no Ken. Ryu, Chun-li, and Alex are the only SF representatives of the Capcom side.

Forget the Capcom dudes, it's all about Doronjo and Daimaou! Yes, you have to be a weaboo to REALLY get your kicks from this title, but you know what? From what I've seen it's actually a very good 2D styled fighter too. The minigames look hilarious. I'm thrilled by these news.
