Halo 3 Box Art Finally Surfaces

Ameer | June 01, 2007 | News | XBOX 360
You all probably know how these types of stories usually involve some wacky fan's Photoshop representation of the desired game's future boxart? Well, this one has that feeling of authenticity about it. Attached below are the pictures of the boxart, and the Official Halo 3 Mountain Dew for comparison.
While This is an unconfirmed picture of the Halo 3 Box Art, I think it's safe to say that this might actually be the Official Box Art for Halo 3 Standard Edition. The reason behind our confidence is, because its strikingly similar to the art on the Official Halo 3 Mountain Dew. Pictures of The Halo 3 Mountain Dew can be seen at Major Nelson's Flickr Album.

Also, It would make sense to release the cover art for Halo 3, since it ships in September of this year. Hopefully within the next few hours we will hear some word from Microsoft about this leaked photo regarding its authenticity. However, the Microsoft Game Studios watermarks all over the box art may make it seem authentic, but you never know these days.

Hmm, I'm not really impressed. But it's what's on the inside that really matters.

If it really is going to be the official boxart, I really hope that it's just for the Standard Edition. It seems like more could be added.

What's with the faint "Microsoft" going across it ?

It's the watermarking of the image so it doesn't get changed or edited.

That's just the watermark to keep people from stealing it and claiming it as their own.

Yea it isn't the greatest I think. It looks to me some one just put it together in Photoshop. So who knows.

I hope that this isn't the real thing. It doesn't really like it is of "Halo 3 quality", if you catch my drift.

It doesn't really seem too bad in my opinion, but I agree it could use a little bit of work.

It looks fine if you ask me.

It's simple, but in a good way.

personally i don't think this is it, mostly because there is still no pic of the standard edition on the official halo 3 website.
