Don't worry, they're not adding a fee to make you pay for PSN service like Xbox Live. Sony Asia are polling their customers again (they did this last year as well) to see how they would feel about paying a monthly fee for PSN. $10 a month would get you 5 or 6 games out of the PSN's complete library; games must "check in" to see if you're a subscriber, if not, they won't play.

This is actually a cool idea. Why pay over $10 for a game you'll play once, when you can pay $10 to rent 5 or 6 games for a month?

Rumblings are that Sony may be considering a PSN subscription fee.

Not a subscription fee for access and online (ala Xbox Live) but a fee that gives you all you can eat access to PSN games be they for PSP or PS3. This isn't a new idea (Sony Asia polled its customers in early 2008 about such a thing) but scuttlebutt is that they are asking AGAIN. Hmmm.

$10 dollars per month for 5 or 6 games out of the complete library? Games must 'check in' to see if you are a current subscriber or they just don't play. Maybe bump it to $20 and you get movie streaming to boot?

What do you think? Would you be willing to pay a fee to get access to all PSN games (esp considering if PSP Go! is real all future PSP games will be ON PSN).

    That's actually a fantastic idea!

As well as offering a rental service for games, it has the added bonus of saving space on your hard-drive. I've yet to buy any PSN games, simply because I don't wanna pay for them and then have to delete them if I run out of space. Rentals would solve that problem.

I like it, it's a nice way for them to make money while not destroying our wallets but also letting us rent games. It would be crazy. Try before you Buy. XD

Nope. It better not *bleep* with just purchasing games off the PSN. I already own a good majority of them and don't need 6 new ones per month......but I want to be able to play the one or two I do pick up here and there.

I think I'm with kik here (If I understand what you're saying, kik). I'm not interested in 5-6 PSN games a month. I have perhaps 7-9 PSN games I've bought/downloaded . . . and that's from launch! So to me, I'd be paying for a renting feature that I would very seldom use!

I'd rather just buy the games I want, when I want them.

I don't really care for this. If I want a game I'll buy it and download it myself.
