It looks like North America's PSN will soon be catching up to the Japanese PSN's abundance of PSOne classics, with Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil: Director's Cut, Spec Ops: Covert Assault, Spec Ops: Ranger Elite and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six all ready to be released stateside.

Looks like Sony is serious about adding new "PSone Classics" to the PlayStation Store, as a few original PlayStation heavy hitters appear to be en route. The ESRB has rated five new PSone Classics candidates.

    Sell your disc copies of MGS on eBay quick, folks! I've seen them going for £30, but that's obviously going to change when it hits the store.
