According to the ESRB website, there is a new Star Wars Battlefront game coming exclusively to the PSP and DS. Even more surprisingly, the game actually sounds really good.

If the ESRB website is to be believed (and why wouldn't it be), there is a new Star Wars Battlefront game heading to both the DS and the PSP. The official description actually sounds like it might not suck.

"This is an action game in which players experience different battles from the Star Wars universe. Presented in a third-person perspective, the game allows players to engage in space, land, and air battles or build troops and upgrade armies in a strategy-based mode. Players can use laser guns (i.e., blasters), explosives, and lightsabers to destroy enemy robots (i.e., droids) and humans who often cry out in pain when attacked. During one dramatic cutscene sequence, an unarmed man is sliced by a lightsaber, while another character is shot in the back with a blaster."

Oooooo, violent! The game will be titled Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron, but it currently has no official release date.

Sweet. I hope they can get the controls right, and find some way to stop online cheaters on the PSP version.

But what I really want is a Battlefront for 360, PS3, and maybe even the Wii, the lack of which for this generation of consoles is really disgusting.

They've already done an exclusive battlefront for PSP and it sucked. Hopefully this is better. I want a Battlefront 3 for 360 and PS3 NOW please. =(
