Fans of the Metroid Prime games will be happy to know that Nintendo will be releasing all three games on a single disc. Not only do you get the convenience of having all three games on one disc, but Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, which were originally released on the Gamecube, will feature widescreen and 480p support along with motion controls a la Metroid Prime 3. However, the good news doesn't end there. The compilation will be released on August 24th for the price of a regular game ($50).

Don't say Nintendo didn't do anything for you: on August 24th, the publisher will release Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii. Metroid Prime Trilogy, releasing almost to the day of Metroid Prime 3 Corruption's two year anniversary, is a jammed to the brim package that combines all of Retro's first-person adventure games for the GameCube and Wii, on a single disc. And the two GameCube games – Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes -- have been reworked with full widescreen, 480p support and feature the same awesome Wii Remote/Nunchuk control that made Metroid Prime 3 Corruption so tight.

Could I maybe get that Wii too? It is awesome.

And it's a nice deal, so I'm pretty sure I'll buy it. The games are awesome after all.

I've only played the DS Metroid Prime, so I definitely be picking this up.

Same, didn't have much opportunity to play Metroid Prime for the GC, so now's a good chance.

No just repackaged old games... I doubt we'll see any good and original games for the Wii anytime soon. E3 will probably just repackage Mario and Zelda in a new and overdone story and they'll announce some more old Gamecube games to get the motion treatment. If it works for them then fair enough but it's still incredibly cheap, $50 is a lot for 3 games especially considering 2 of them would barely sell for $5 each brand new these days.

Uh, Metroid Prime 3 is $50 alone at stores. And both MP1 and MP2 are about $15 each. That's $80, but they're only charging us $50. Learn math next time.

I'm definitely getting this. I've never had the chance to play the first two Metroid Prime games, and everyone always says how they're two of the greatest games of all time.

They are. You will love them. They were superb games, especially for Gamecube.

The smooth gameplay and amazing details and graphics will enthrall you. And the puzzles and traveling are enough to challenge you just like the old games.....but not enough to frustrate you.

I however have played 1 and 2 and not three. So I hope to get this for my Wii

This does look awesome! I love the way they've combined all three games. I'll probably pick this up when it comes out in the UK.
