If you're a Wii owner who wants to play Resident Evil 5, then don't give up hope just yet. Capcom's Chief Financial Officer, Kazuhiko Abe, has hinted that Capcom still might port RE5 to Wii.

Capcom's Chief Financial Officer, Kazuhiko Abe, has offered a glimmer of hope for Wii owners hoping to some day see a downgraded release of PS3 and 360 games on the system.

While highlighting stronger-than-expected sales of Resident Evil 5, Abe says "We have not decided whether we are doing it or not doing it". "It" being releasing 360 & PS3 games on the Wii. Not decided?

Why pussy foot around it Capcom. We all know what you are like now, you do it time and time again. Just announce Resi 5 for Wii at E3 and get it over with. Oh and while you are at it announce Lost Planet 2 for PS3 and save the 2 year wait.

If the port anything like RE4, then that would be awesome.

If the portanything like the Dead Rising port, then GOD NO.

If the port is what Capcom promise will gives fans "exactly what they've been waiting for", I may need a baseball bat, some matches and a map to Capcom's headquarters.

I'd recommend a helicopter so you can zipline down and take them from above.

Hey Capcom, why not just make, you know, Wii games, instead of ports? Then all we have to do is get people to actually buy the good stuff you come out with and we'll be set.

I believe Capcom explicity said something along the lines of "The Wii couldn't even run Resident Evil 5's opening cutscene."

So cut, downsize and butcher will be the order of the day if its ported I fear.

Lol, I actually hope they can pull this off. It would be great to play that game on the Wii.

They also said that they think its the best game ever, and that its much longer than RE4.

Great, they'll be able to fit like, 10 zombies on screen at a time.

I'm more worried about the possible lack of online co-op... and the possibility of lowered AI.

10 zombies!! Theres barely that many on the 360/ps3 versions!

No they'll just look choppy and crappy, and won't have versus most likely or online mercs if they have mercs at all.

10! Theres barely that many on the 360/PS3 versions!!

If anything, the graphics will be choppy as hell, worse then RE4 no doubt. Online mercs and versus might get removed, if theres even a mercs at all....

      no capcom, no.
