PS3 Gears of War Complete Bull

The Epic forums administrator Mark Rein has killed all the rumours flying around that one of the most successful Xbox 360 games, Gears of War was going to be ported to PS3. He posted in Epics forum saying that he emailed the source of the rumour and asked them to take it down. He says it's all rubbish and if it wasn't for Microsoft the game wouldn't have been all that successful.

This story is complete bull****. I emailed the site and asked them to take it down. We're very happy with our relationship with Microsoft. If it weren't for them Gears wouldn't be the huge hit it has become.

    Hey I broke the news first here on GameGrep. No fair!

    But yeah, I dunno not like it matters if it did get ported to the PS3 anyway but if one really wanted to get Gears of War, just get an XBOX360.

    I looked at some of the response in PS3 forums of GoW 'possibly' coming to PS3, and it seemed people didn't care for actually having the game much as they do fanning over dirty Console War politics for Sony.

    Yeah. DragoniteBallZ was the first one to break the news on GameGrep. I remember reading the article and thinking how cool it would be to play Gears of War on the PS3 only to find out the article was complete bullshit.

    Never was interested in this game that's because Unreal Tournament is very close to release. Just need to be a bit more patient.

    Ahh thank god for that! Now I can play my Xbox 360 with future good titles like Gears of War just as a free Xbox 360 game , unlucky to PS3 fans.

    GoW is a piece of crap. Xbox is mostly shooters why would want that. ps3 has call of duty, tom clancys etc, and a few more shooters. And the fact that this guy thinks MS made that game great doesnt mean nothing. I bet if sony really wanted to they could have made that game b4 them and it would be better. But again why would sony what that crap of a game anyway. I would rather play duck hunt that sorry excuse of a game.

      It was suppose to be a diss to GoW that it sucks and duck is a classic. But its the best shooter game i ever played, xbox will never learn. Variety makes systems win not just one main genre and a few others.

    I never saw the shine of GoW. It's a good game, but doesn't seem as great as Halo was when everyone loved it...

    Im going to cry myself to sleep lol. Was really hoping to play this on PS3, dam.

    Im a shooter fan and this is probably the best out at the moment.
    I guess this is Unreal to look forward too.

    Yeah, I think we all knew this wouldn't happen, though. GoW is like this gen's Halo, staying with the M$ system.

    Hmm I couldn't really see GoW moving onto the PS3 anyways, it seemed unlikely in the first place. Even so it would have been really cool if it did move onto the PS3 since it is a brilliant game.

    I couldn't see it happening either. For some reason I think it would be weird playing GoW on a Dualshock control.

    And it's amazing how many people started commenting after the contest was announced...

    Well it's good to see that their relationship with Microsoft is just fine and dandy. But as said, this is kind of unlucky for PS3-only owners.

    Unlucky my ass. I checked the PS3 forums about this rumor, and none of them seemed to really care or get excited whatsoever about it going multi-platform.

    Well, as the article says, the rumour was complete bull. Nobody even cared because it was pretty obvious that something like this would never happen. Sony would have to bribe Microsoft into selling Epic to them for that to happen, and that's never happening.

      Huh? Epic isn't owned by Microsoft. If it was, Unreal Tournament 3 would have zero chance of coming to the PS3.
