Recently, Q-Games revealed PixelJunk 1-4 and to go along with that, announced that the public would be able to pick the name of the game. The wait is over and the game will be called PixelJunk Shooter.

The lucky winner, picked from a hat of about 8 other people who voted for the same name, is Mario Paquet from Canada! We chose the name because: 1) it’s simple, 2) it describes the main thing you do in the game, and 3) it makes a great logo!

the game is not out yet. And I bet it will be very good, but the game is boring and generic. Monsters wasn't to creative but it fit perfectly yet unique and eden was just perfect

I like the simplicity of it. That's what they were going for: A name that didn't make someone ask "What?" Monsters did that. Eden almost didn't do it (though Eden, when most people hear that word they immediately think of garden or paradise or something with foliage). Shooter . . . I think suits it. Though I always think of TPS and FPS games when I hear "shooter."

A good name to me would be something that sparked a ship idea (the ship you're in) and also perhaps the caves you explore. Which is a name I would think would've been good: "Pixeljunk: Explorer" . . . but they're only exploring caves so maybe "Spelunker?"

It's okay, but it does sound kind of bland.
