Despite Square Enix having a reduced presence at this year's E3, they still have some big announcements under their sleeve. The company will be revealing three big surprise new games during the expo...

We don’t want to push our luck on this one, but there is no Square Enix press conference this year so you can expect an announcement prior to the E3 show regarding no less than three big surprise games which are currently unannounced – at least two of which are multi-format. We wish we could tell you more, but knowing something is better than knowing nothing… debate below, but don’t ask us because we’re not about to spill the beans.

So, this makes how many games currently in development over at Square Enix?

      Why does it matter?

More games = less focus and more chance of milking.

At least that's what I think he's getting at.

I guessed, I was just trying to call him out considering how silly a statement it is.

BRB, I'm writing a strong letter to EA and Ubisoft 'cos they're making too many games.

          Square-enix Makes games.
Ea OWNS companies that make games.

          Not the same thing really.

I just find it a bit odd that they'd be announcing three new games, considering the number of projects they're already working on is all. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm looking forward to most of the games they have currently underway, and I'm definitely pulling for a Kingdom Hearts 3 from these announcements.

Just to clarify... (correct me if I'm wrong)

EA and Ubisoft are publishers. Independent studios develop the games and these companies publish them.

Square Enix is a team of multiple studios that work as the same company, and the company is collectively big enough to publish games for itself.

          Is that right?

    2). Nier

    EDIT:
3). KINGDOM HEARTS 3 OR FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE

Im guessing 3 minor games for the handhelds. I would hope that one of them would be KH3 or the remake like Cruxis said but this is SE were talking about, the masters of hype and disapointment.

The 3 surprises will be that the 3 XBOX exclusives are no longer exclusive and we will see them on the PS3. They will be released immediately following the conference.....in Japan ONLY. Other regions will still be waiting for localization when the 3 surprises that will be revealed at the 2012 E3 will be.......the same 3 games finally made for the rest of the world.

One of them better be Blood of Bahamut. Or Sigma Harmonics. Or new info on Dragon Quest IX. Or any new franchise rather. Just please, no KH3 or FF7. That's all I ask.

I'm pretty sure the article is saying that SE is going to reveal 3 new games. BoB, SH, and DQ IX have been revealed/announced already.

None have been discussed for an American release though. And E3 is obviously a great time for that.

Blood of Bahamut was just announced to have an August 6 Japanese release date. So it's entirely possible for them to announce an American date at E3. Definitely looking forward to it nonetheless.
