Videogame peripherals specialist Hori offers up its clip-on "Hori Compact TFT Monitor EX" (breathe) for those truly hardcore Xbox 360 gamers wishing to trump DS and PSP owners by playing next-gen games on the bus. Just remember to bring a portable generator.

Yep, while rumours of Microsoft dipping its large, corporate toe in the murky waters of portable gaming have been circulating for some time now, Hori’s 12.1-inch monitor already has you covered. The EX apparently connects to your 360 via analogue RGB, and even outputs in lovely 720p. It comes with built-in speakers as well, positioned just below the screen itself.

The "preview" of the xbox360 on the go on the source is pretty lame. It's a huge box. xD

I chuckled a bit. It's no different than sticking any random flat panel TV in your minivan and hooking a system and car battery to AC (I think) adapter. It's not exactly easy on the car battery (your alteernator won't keep up well) but you can get a few hours life out of it while driving no problems.

Hey storm, looks like you double posted, cheater! Anyway, I prefer to play my 360 in my house, not in my car. Besides, the whole thing looks inconvenient to me. And I don't have WiFi, so I can't go online, which is like the only way to play for me for the most part.

Wow. Who the hell would want to carry around that with them? I guess it would be alright for long car trips but I wouldn't want to carry that with me on the bus.

Pfft, I really doubt that you'll see many people going around playing a 360 on the bus. Seriously though can you really consider that portable?

    What. The. Hell.

Can someone please explain to me how exactly that is "portable" ? It's still fairly large to carry around and you need to plug it into a outlet. Sounds to me like it's an easy way to play your Xbox 360 at home if your family takes all the T.V.'s.

2 Outlets actually. One for the Xbox and one for the monitor, so much for mobility.

A portable screen that doesn't run on batteries don't make it a portable console.

Wow I didn't know you had to plug it in. Honestly this is the stupidest idea ever. Besides it not even being portable it's also gonna cost $300.

This is so lame. Who's gonna carry around a power generator. Plus this thing is not even near portable!
