Information about Blood of Bahamut may have been off the radar since the game was first revealed in November, however, SquareEnix's Japanese offices have officially confirmed an August 6th release date in Japan.

For those who don't remember, Blood of Bahamut was the secret game SqaureEnix revealed back in November. The game features up to 4 player multiplayer and gigantic summons (which span both the screens) for you to team up and take down. Familiar summons from the Final Fantasy universe, such as Ifrit and Shiva, will be making a return.

As of yet, nothing has been said about an international release.

If you love to import, and you love yourself some Square Enix, we'd suggest setting aside a few pennies (about 6,000 of them!) for August. Square Enix's Japanese office gave an unexpected date today to one of its previous date TBA games, Blood of Bahamut.

The action RPG will be released to Japan on August 6. Pricing has been set to a slightly higher-than-usual 5,980 yen (most DS titles cost 5,040 yen).
