UFO Interactive has confirmed to 1Up that they will be localizing the MOSS Ltd., vertical shoot-em-up Raiden IV for the Xbox 360. The game will make use of Xbox Live for online leaderboards and the ability to download replays from the top scorers, alongside DLC. The game is expected to ship this August, presumably on a retail disc, where it belongs.
UFO Interactive was the one who published Raiden III for the PlayStation 2 in North America. Valcon Games is responsible for the recently-released Raiden Fighters Aces. Can someone get Cave on the line so someone can bring over DoDonPachi, Ketsui, or Deathsmiles?
Hot on the heels of Valcon Games' release of Raiden Fighters Aces for Xbox 360 comes UFO Interactive confirming to us that they'll be bringing Raiden 4 to the American market, also for Microsoft's system (UFO previously published Raiden III for the PlayStation 2). Originally released in Japan last October, Raiden 4 is a vertical shoot-em-up, and, obviously, the third sequel in the Raiden series, which was one of the first shooters to really use flashy, explosive effects to stand out in the crowd. Raiden 4 on 360 also uses Xbox Live to present global leaderboards and downloadable replays from top scorers, as well as downloadable content like extra ships.
