High Voltage Software, hot off the heels of announcing Wii 3D Fighter Gladiator A.D., has announced another title exclusively for the Wii today through IGN: The Grinder, a horror-themed first person shooter that has up to four players going up against vampires, werewolves, zombies, and other monsters.

The game will feature four player co-op, either splitscreen locally or over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The Grinder will feature four different playable characters each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and stories. The game is also looking to implement WiiSpeak and Wii MotionPlus support, along with other details mentioned in IGN's interview with The Grinder's development team at HVS.

The Grinder currently does not have a publisher, but looking more towards a Q1 2010 release. The game will be at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo, from June 2nd to June 4th.

Yesterday IGN exclusively unveiled High Voltage Software's new Wii title, Gladiator A.D., a very promising 3D fighter that pushes Nintendo's hardware where graphics are concerned. Today, though, we've got a special treat that we think fans of the Left 4 Dead series are simply going to love. It's called The Grinder and it's a blood-drenched first-person shooter designed to accommodate four-player online cooperative action. This title looks absolutely phenomenal, as you're going to see below. Rather than spoil any more details, we've let the developer do the talking. Below, HVS CEO and founder Kerry Ganofsky, chief creative officer Eric Nofsinger and lead art director Matt Corso tell all about The Grinder. We think you're going to want to move this extraordinary Wii-exclusive to the tops of your must-have lists.

This looks like they're giving Wii owners their own little Left 4 Dead type game.

Serves Valve right for not having done so in the first place. At least High Voltage is trying to fill in the niche.

Valve doesn't even like developing for the PS3, let alone the Wii. They just don't like making console games.

But, this game looks amazing. HVS is awesome; first The Conduit, now this.
