Games We Love but Wish We Could Love Playing

Since the unlikely success of Big Brain Academy and Brain Age, many developers have tried to cash in on the casual gamer. Usually they end up being duplications of the Brain Age system, ones that usually don't work as well. But now Agetec is working on a title that shys away from the Brain Age system, but still manages to be aimed at the casual gamer. It's called Rhythm n' Notes, and it claims to be able to actually improve your rhythm.
Divided into a variety of lessons, the note exercises task players with identifying notes and chords. Rhythmic activities test your ability to keep time in a range of signatures and patterns. Don't have any rhythm? Tone deaf? A practice mode will let you get familiar with notes, chords, and meters by both name and sound.
"Educational games that are truly fun are hard to come by," said Mark Johnson, Producer at Agetec. "Rhythm 'n Notes gets it right with addictive, enriching play."

I'm not a big fan of these casual games released on the DS. But, hey, the casual gamers need some games to appeal to them as well. It can't be hardcore games all of the time.
