A game that has come to fruition only thanks to the collaborations of five different game developers, Cross Edge is now available in stores in the United States. As well as a number of characters, the game will also include Trophies which was missing from the JP version of the game.

Hi everyone! This is Nao Zook from NIS America. As of today (May 26th), Cross Edge has officially been released! Yes!!

Cross Edge is a dream-come-true RPG for hardcore gamers. It is the first RPG on PLAYSTATION 3 that has 5 different companies collaborating for one incredible adventure! You’ll see some familiar faces from Darkstalkers (Capcom); Disgaea (Nippon Ichi Software); Ar tonelico (Bandai Namco); Atelier Marie and Mana Khemia 2 (Gust); and Spectral Souls (Idea Factory). And all the characters are playable. Isn’t that cool?

    I won't be buying this game. I don't really like 2D JRPGs.

How they could even try 2D sprites on PS3 is dumbfounding. It's almost an insult to the PS3.

I don't really see it as an insult. Sure the PS3 can handle more, but as long as the game is good, why should it matter? Its clearly targeting a certain audience anyways.

Seeing how fun the game is (and yes I've played the demo, and enjoyed it thoroughly regardless of it being in Japaense), I don't think it matters whether or not it's in 2D or 3D.

If you think about it, EVERYONE's been wanting a 'world map' type thing in FF games, and this game has that sort of thing... and it works brilliantly...
