So this is not gonna have one whole map, but seperate tracks? Man, I don't think I like the sound of that.
But the car roster is impressive.

This game is a racing simulator not some arcade racing flop that EA have been putting out the last 10 years. This game may still flop but it may actually do it with some grace and dignity this time around. They actually sound like they are trying to make a good game which is a first for NFS.

I know, but can't they have a racing simulator in a big map with free roam? Doesn't always have to be a crowded city, of course.

Some games have tried it but the issue comes through realism. Simulation fans want quite a lot, they like that one huge crash will end the race for them. In an open world you will never make it to the race let alone finish it with those rules in place. Random turning off of that feature in free roam breaks up the realism and thus many hardcore sim racers don't enjoy it.

You can always try out something like Burnout Paradise, which does a pretty good job integrating free roam, and see if you prefer it.

Hey now, the hot pursuit games were great.

          They definitely were.
But do you think EA can make another successful game like those? I really doubt it.

If people want a race simulator they have forza and GT.

NFS should go back to the carbon days, when it was actually good. Pro street totally screwed up the game series.

NFS was never about being a race simulator, it was just about good unrealistic pimping out car racin!

Well, Pro Street did *bleep* NFS over totally, but the fact that they're trying to make a new simulator style NFS after that whole fiasco might mean that they're really going to make a good game this time. Add to that, they're limiting it to 4 platforms so they have time to actually focus on the game.

I love racing games. I've been playing them, ever since it was just Grand Turismo for PSX. But now they have better ones. I'll definitely buy this game. I've always love racing and ramming my car to the other cars.
