This week's big releases that will attempt to pull gamers away from the E3 noise, scratch that, news machine.

The Sims 3 (PC)
Red Faction: Guerrilla (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)
Fuel (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

With the E3 expo claiming the vast majority of brain matter of the gaming public, it would be easy to ignore this week's new releases unless it was something huge. Thankfully, it is. Electronic Arts will be releasing The Sims 3 on the PC this week.

Also arriving alongside the second full sequel to one of the most popular games of all time will be THQ's shooter Red Faction: Guerrilla (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) and the one week delay of Codemasters' racer Fuel (PC, PS3, Xbox 360).

The Sims 3 looks kind of cool, I might get it. I don't have much time for it though with my current playthrough of inFamous and then Prototype will be out a week after The Sims is released.

No new relases for DS this week? Shame. Sims 3 looks pretty good, although I stoppped playing the games a few years ago, I might pick up my old "Making magic" to get back into the swing of things
