Whoa. Have I just been, totally out of the loop here or did this come out of nowhere?

And hasn't E3 not started yet? Why is information like this being released now of all times?

Lastly, does anyone know if there will be any backwards compatibility with the PSP library at all? It doesn't seem so. Which is disappointing, 'cause otherwise this would be a must buy for me.

It has 16 gbs flash memory, all digital content which means no UMD, bluetooth, smaller, a completely redisigned look.....and yet it STILL doesn't have 2 analog sticks?

    WTF Sony?

PSP games are not designed to use 2 analog sticks it would just be redundant. I mean look at it this way this will have compatibility with old PSP games through downloads that is a given, these games do not support another analog stick so it'd go to waste. Future games and perhaps games specifically for the PSP GO! could use a second analog stick if they weren't releasing on PSP-3000 but it's quite a bit of work for only a handful of potential games.

They have stated that all the PSP games for it will be digital downloads either through the PC PlaystationStore or the PS3 based version. Every game will be there including the new ones such as Gran Turismo: GO! and Metal Gear Solid. One thing they have also stated is that PSP GO! may be getting a few games thats are download only which may limit the number of PSP-3000 users playing that game.

Why does everyone think it is so ugly? It has a pretty sleek and straight forward design. Also more compact with the slide design and doesn't look too bad to hold.

I also hope they have some way to redeem your UMD library so you don't have to hold on to your old system/can get your library without paying for it again.
