Electronic Theatre reports on the announcement that Crysis 2 is in development on CryENGINE 3, and will be released on Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 as well as PC.

Electronic Arts Inc. has announced today that it has agreed to a deal extension with Crytek GmbH, the award-winning developers of the Crysis universe, to publish Crysis 2. Renowned for their technical excellence, artistic craftsmanship and commitment to quality, Crytek is building Crysis 2 on their new state-of-the-art multiplatform game development solution CryENGINE 3 for the Xbox 360, the PLAYSTATION 3, and the PC.

    Never did finish Crysis, let alone get Crysis: Warhead.

    I really ought to do both ~_~

    I wonder if the coding has been optimized to make it run better on PCs, like Warhead did? I mean so that it looks better than Crysis, but doesn't have a crazy overhead to get it....
