Another aspiring Ben Heckendorn has made another cool controller mod. A Wii-FTW forum admin, Sir CRX has hacked his Wiimote to be used as a controller for the Xbox 360 through a wireless Bluetooth connection.

As you can probably tell from the image above, this sort of project wouldn't be safe in the hands of a wiring novice. Wii-FTW forum admin Sir CRX hacked his Wiimote and Xbox controller to accept bluetooth commands, sending them to his 360 console. The mod doesn't yet incorporate any of the remote's "waggle" functions and only supports four of its buttons, but Sir CRX has hinted that there will be updates and a possible tutorial coming soon. Head past the post break for video of the cross-console controller in use.

Hmm. Sounds too risky. I mean if you mess up while doing the mod you pretty much just wasted $20 on a Wii mote. To be honest if I owned a XBOX 360 I'd much rather stick to using an XBOX 360 controller then using a hacked Wii mote.

Also if you wanna watch the video on youtube either go to the source or click on this link.

I think the same thing. Why take such a huge risk? If you mess up, its shit.

Actually, it'd be worse. Wiimotes are $40.

Hackers can seem to make the Wii-mote work with anything these days. I really wish I knew how to do that.

    Let's see.

The 360 control fits perfectly in my hand, every single curve and button placement is flawless.

The Wii remote is a little block.

    No.

even though i don't really like the feel of the 360 controller, i would much rather hold that thing than the little block of a wii mote

Nice idea, but the Wiimote won't work well at all with most 360 games since them games are designed around the 360 controller and nothing else. Also if it doesn't even fully support the controller mod, then why bother?

Yeah, there's not much use for the Wiimote on the 360 but it's still interesting seeing someone pull something like this off.

Holy wow. That is pretty cool. Like Jax says, there isn't much use, but the fact that somebody can do that just shows you what is possible in the world. Nice find.
