Jax06 | June 02, 2007 | News | Wii DS
Nintendo announced that they have quite a line up of games for this summer. You will see several sequels and first-time franchises on both the Wii and the DS this summer, with a said 40 titles for each genre! Sounds like Nintendo really wants to keep their gamers busy this summer.
Whether you're a longtime gamer who likes classic franchises or a newcomer aiming to keep your brain sharp, Nintendo's summer lineup of games has something for you. Nintendo's offerings are anchored by key Wii games like Metroid Prime 3 Corruption and Mario Strikers Charged. Nintendo DS owners can challenge their minds with games like Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day and the new picture-based puzzle game, Picross DS.

Licensees also are demonstrating a strong commitment to Wii and Nintendo DS by announcing more than 40 titles in all genres. The unique controls of Wii and Nintendo DS make the Nintendo platform versions of these games entirely new experiences. No matter what your taste or experience level, you'll keep busy this summer!

Very strong summer Wii lineup. Mario Strikers Charged, Metroid Prime 3, Battalion Wars 2, and Madden NFL 08 are all must buys, in my opinion.

Nothing catches my eye in the DS lineup except Drawn to Life. That's the game where you could literally draw/create the main character.

Nintendo most certainly does have a strong line-up for this summer. 40 titles for each genre? Wow that's a lot of games.

Nintendo continues to Deliver. Hopefully Metroid Prime 3 follows the difficulty of its predecessors.

It's about time that Nintendo got their act together and gave us a few nice games. There's some good games coming out this summer, I'll sure be keeping a look out.

Not much there that really catches the eye for DS, but there is a nice lineup for the Wii there. I think I might be tempted in getting a Wii what with Mario Strikers Charged coming out. That game looks awesome.

That Wii list is hardly what I would call strong. Still, 40 titles is a lot.

Obviously you don't realize how long Wii owners have been waiting for both Wi-Fi play, which you will get with Mario Strikers, Madden 08 and Batallion Wars 2, nor do you realize that the wait that has been ongoing for Metroid Prime 3 has been a very long one. If you were a Nitendo fan, you'd realize that this summer will be a very good one in terms of Wii games.

Also, Nyfftotal90, Mario Strikers is out in the UK now.

Strong summer line up indeed for Nintendo. I'm hoping some of the bigger names on the list will turn out to be great games as well.

Loving the Wii line-up, and the DS line-up doesn't look too bad either. Cant wait until Metroid Corruption comes out, an absolute must buy for me. I might pick up Mario Strikers Charged too, but as for Battalion Wars 2, I will have to look more into the game to be tempted to buy it.

I myself am glad that there is a big DS line up this summer. I was planning on buying a DS soon and was only planning on getting Diamond and Pearl but that was it. Looks like I may also have to look at one of the Mega Man games or even Indy 500 Legends.

Looks like a good summer lineup to me. I'm really looking forward to this, especially the DS lineup. I've been more into my DS recently, than I ever have been. A lot more than my Wii, to be honest.

SWEET!! Metroid Prime 3 has finally gotten a release date. You don't know how happy I am for that. The other games look pretty good to, like Mario Strikers Charged.

I'll probably get Metroid Prime 3 and Brothers in Arms (by far the best WWII franchise). Battalion Wars 2 might also be worth checking out.
