Team Ninja's new Ninja Gaiden Sigma is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 3 on June 3, but Team Ninja has no plans to port the game to Xbox 360, according to Team Ninja's leader, Tomonobu Itagaki. Itagaki has stated, however, that Team Ninja will still support Nintendo DS and Xbox 360.

Team Ninja has already completed work on Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3, well in advance of the game's July release date. Of course, the big question on the minds of Xbox 360 owners everywhere is, will they have to shell out half a grand to play the game? The answer seems to be yes.

Well, the 360 is getting Ninja Gaiden 2, so it shouldn't really matter.

But Xbox 360 owners are still unable to play a game from the series unless they have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360.

That sucks for people who own the XBOX 360 and enjoyed the Ninja Gaiden games. I played both Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black when I borrowed my friend's XBOX and thought both games were tight. I'm glad Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be released on the PS3 since that's the next generation console I'm getting along with the Wii.

Looks like Sony has managed to snag another possible multiplatformer from the Xbox 360. This game may boost PS3 sales, since its predecessors were awesome.

But as Kokoro said, at least the Xbox 360 will said get Ninja Gaiden 2.

    This shouldn't be a surprise.

It's not stated whether Ninja Gaiden 2 will be on the 360, chances are it will, and chances are that it may be multiplatform as well.

Indeed, especially if it's using the same or similar engine as Sigma. If Sigma sees good sales then I'm quite certain that Ninja Gaiden 2 will see a release on the PS3 either simultaneous with the 360 release or shortly afterwards.

There's already Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden: Black. Then there's Ninja Gaiden 2. A third remake wouldn't make sense for the M$ sysem so soon. This is fine for me.

Guys the reason there not making sigma for xbox is cause this game is the same as NGB the only difference is it has extra add ons that black didnt use. And Cause they want to see how it will fair up on the ps3.

check this out: "It must be noted that Ninja Gaiden Sigma is mostly a remake of Ninja Gaiden Black for the original Xbox. Sigma contains additional stages, weapons, and even has a new playable character in the form of Rachel.

The reasoning behind the lack of a Xbox 360 port/version is that Sigma was supposedly created to bring the Ninja Gaiden experience to players who've only had Sony PlayStation consoles. In order to not disappoint the large Xbox fan-base, Itagaki does reassure that they will continue supporting the Xbox 360 platform, and that they still have plans for it".

That is interesting, but wouldn't Xbox 360 owners still want the game, even though it's a remake of Black. It does have better graphics and new weapons, stages, and characters.

Actually there isnt a confirmation on it has better graphics. It both looks the same from what i hear. So there is no reason xbox users should be complaining. Sure it has extra features but still its the same game that they already played nothing to special.

That will suck if it does have the same graphics, if it does not so sure if i will buy it since i played the xbox version.

Well graphics looks the same but i think its somewhat sharper according to the devs. I think they said you could actually leg chains or something like that, so maybe there is a difference.

Like i said b4 lord scion its the same game. They already played several NG let the ps3 have there's. I swear your being very childish on the decision.
