RPGamer interviews NIS America's Nao Zook over their current and future game localization projects. Interestingly, Nao did not discount the possibility of seeing NIS' flagship Disgaea series for the DS, in fact he is encouraging DS owners to expect something special in the works. Meanwhile for PS2 fans, there's some implication that the sequel to Ar tonelico, still in development for Japan, could very well see North American release in the future.

(Reader Question:) Although it is still early in production, do they have plans on picking up Ar tonelico II, after localizing the first game?
Nao: ... :-)

(Reader Question:) Any chance of Disgaea on the Nintendo DS?
Nao: Let me just say this... you can look forward to it!

Q: With Disgaea hitting the PSP, is there any talk of the second one doing the same?
Nao: Hmmm, well, this is a hard question. We don't know if Disgaea 2 will be released for PSP just yet. The possibility is always there, though.

Q: What about your other PS2 games?
Nao: Will NISA's other PS2 games also hit PSP? There are some ideas being discussed, but they might be on other mobile consoles... :)

No hate towards the PSP, but I'm actually glad it's also hitting the Nintendo DS. I prefer it on the DS as long as it has some good extras and use of the touch screen.

The game itself is pretty good, but "Disgaea" really does sound like something you don't want your doctor to tell you that you have!

Looks like they like the DS. K.

So these guys are still making PS2 games? That's intelligent.

I'm a big fan of Disgaea, I'll be one seriously happy gamer if I can someday play it on my DS. ^^
