The latest Dutch Gamepro Magazine, developer Guerrilla has said that the development of Killzone 2 is coming alone just fine. Although it is said to appear in September and if it does would it be strong enough to counter Halo 3? Halo 3 already has 5+ million copies reserved and that alone is nearly double the entire PS3 user base?

If Killzone 2 was released in September do you think it's a dumb move by Guerrilla or not?

According to the recent Gamepro Magazine, Dutch developer Guerrilla is coming along in their development of Killzone 2. According to the magazine Killzone will appear, thus already, in September of this year. Now some may take what Gamepro says with a grain of salt, but if their right, this would be the most idiotic move in gaming history. Halo 3 has 5 plus million copies reserved. That alone is almost double the entire PS3 user base. I am a hardcore Sony fan to the death, but this is not the right move.

Does anyone really still care about this kind of stuff anymore ? Come on, it's not like it's a competition on the same platform. It doens't take a genius to figure out how this will play out: the PS3 owners will get Killzone and the 360 owners will get Halo 3.

I totally agree. They're both great games, but for different systems.

It would be pretty good, but only if Guerilla was POSITIVE that Killzone was ready.

Killzone didnt do anything to Halo when it was first released, what makes them think it will do anything now?

True or not, I do not think they will dent it. Well to the people that care about this anyways.

I don't see it possible for Killzone to compete with Halo. I think Killzone would have to be released later anyways.

I disagree i think it will compete with halo. The only reason why halo has 5 million pre-orders is cause halo2 ending sucked, i know i played it. And they like to see how this ending or story fairs to the second. Imagine the ending of this halo being worse than 2, man there will be a riot in the streets against Bungie. Thats a site to see

Like it or not, thats the only reason why it has that many pre-orders. Trust me i been on many places with xbox fanboys saying this.

They can't release it that soon, it'll completely flop. There's no way Killzone 2 could go up against Halo 3 - I think they should wait a while, and make it better than it would've been had they launched it in September, and then release it after the Halo 3 craze. Then, if it's good enough, it'll go down in the books.

Bottom line, there's no way it can compete with Halo 3. They gotta wait.

I don't remember where I read the article from, but if I remember correctly, I read that this is a fake article.

Noway can it compete, everyone knows about Halo i was surprised to hear girls talking about it haha. But if Killzone is ready for launch i say go for it, give us ps3 owners something to do while we wait for our friends to get sick of halo 3 so we can burrow there consoles haha.

I think it will, cause remember a game is only as ready as the developers want it to be and if its ready then by all means bring it on.

Why can't one compare itself to the other? Because one is hyped and the other isin't?

Killzone is an exceptional FPS on the PS2, greatest Action/Shooter on the PSP, and I have no doubt it will get the recognition it deserves on the PS3.

i think they will both do well, the only time they'd have competition is with people who own both systems.
