To begin their media briefing for E3 2009, Nintendo has unveiled New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a new title for the Wii. Not wholly based on the DS copy, up to four players can play cooperatively in this game. The game will feature new items and new levels.

Players can drop in and out seamlessly. There is a single-player mode available.

The game will launch worldwide this holiday season.
