In keeping up with Soul Calibur traditions of adding some extra cool characters such as we've already had Spawn, Link, Hehachi, Yoda and Vader.

In the PSP version of Soul Calibur it seems we will be getting Kratos as a playable character, so get those Blades of Athena at the ready and go get that Soul Edge!

Continuing in the tradition of Soul Calibur IV, which included Star Wars icons Darth Vader and Yoda as playable characters, Namco today revealed that deity-slaying God of War protagonist Kratos will be playable in Project Soul's upcoming Soul Calibur PSP.

Not exactly surprising, he was heavily rumored for IV. Bet his moves kick ass.

...And why couldn't they do this for the console version? Oh that's right, to get more cash for the PSP.

Or because they couldn't get Kratos on the 360 version for obvious reasons?

I said console version, meaning one, referring to the PS3. They could have done exclusive for PS3, and put Master Chief or someone else for the 360. You know, like how they did with Soul Calibur II? PS2 got Heihachi, Xbox got Spawn, and GC got Link.
