is it still called Tekken Force!?

I like the Co-oP idea, but adding weapons and items is just too much.
I mean this is a fighting game already, why do we need to rely on weapons!? It defeats the essence of playing the game to fight.

Till developers milk their game franchise to death by adding so much crap.

I actually quite like the idea. They're blatently going for a modern day Street of Rage with intelligent enemies, which back in the day is what we were all hoping for...

but why would you still want to be using guns and equipment if what you were meant to do is fight!???

Because it's a separate thing from the main gameplay. The main game you have one-on-one fights; in this Scenario-Force mode you're fighting, as Kev said, in Streets of Rage-esque way, like the old Tekken Force. The old Tekken Force, however, was short and stale when replayed thus throwing in the weapons specifically for that mode adds variety and flavour to keep it from being boring.

Common sense tells me that if there's a machine gun sitting next to me and 10 guys in front of me, I'm going to use the gun rather than trying to get in to a fist-fight and possibly have my ass handed to me.

What you use matters not.Look at wars, they say soldiers are FIGHTING for us but they don't go around punching everyone up lol.

Sure this is a hand to hand fighting game but adding some weapons in an old skool style fighting mode doesn't hurt.

Look at Yoshimtsu, he always uses a sword to fight.

what does Yoshimtsu using a sword have to do with anything!?
The same way I could say all characters in Soul Calibur using swords.

I like Tekken force, weapons are unnecessary. If they want to add this feature, they may as well make a standalone Tekken cum force game.

Then don't use the weapons. Simple as

and I bet people like you who fight in Fighter Game genre are the ones who can't be bothered to learn moves but rather than button bash and break the fighting games rule.

          ROFLMFAO!!!

So because I'm telling you to get over the fact that they have weapons in a SEPARATE EXTENSION FROM THE MAIN GAME I'm a button basher? Do you have no sense of logic you silly, silly, little man. Please, tell me how you reached that conclusion? HA!

Better yet if you have Street Fighter IV on PS3 add my PSN ( TigerofWu ) and I'll show you how I play fighting games

LMAO, by your logic (or rather lack thereof) I could say you're a syphilitic Nigerian hooker with just as much reason xD

You are complaining because Tekken Force (whatever you want to call it) has weapons yet Yoshimutsu uses a weapon. So Yoshimitsu using a weapon does mean something.

How can you say Yoshimitsu having a sword doesn't have to do with anything when you are complaining about weapons?

Tekken 6 Scenario Campaign Mode = Modern day Streets of Rage.

    Streets of Rage featured weapons.
Tekken 6 Scenario Campaign Mode features weapons.

I can try making the point a bit clearer if you like.

Uhm NO.I'm not a great fighter by any means but I do learn moves/combo's.In fact the reason I don't play fighting games online (bar playing a few rounds of SCIV online) and I very rarely play them against other people is because I HATE button mashers.99% of the time I play against annoying SOB's who just mash buttons, find a character they can kick my arse with and never select another character again.

your words are incomplete because they don't make sense Gamesta100.
You use Yoshimistu as your backup, what about Soul Calibur 2 Haiachi (however you spell his name) from Tekken. Every character uses Sword except for him, he uses Gauntlets.
Or Dead or Alive 3 and Genra using a sword while everyone uses their fist. What do you have to say about that eh!?
Yes Yoshimistu using a sword has a reason, because he is a unique character. He's the only one that always goes through many changes through out the Tekken series. The sword is part of his gameplay.

Modern street of rage!? is that what Namco are calling it or did you made that up? If that's the case, then it's fine, but still they need to make a standalone game for this kind of Tekken Force.
I don't see MK series having a force mode and you using weapons instead of fighting. That is why they made Shaolin Monks (a sick game!). Sure you use your fist but also use weapon.

You say they can't/REALLY shouldn't have weapons because Tekken is a fighting game. But Yoshimitsu uses a weapon.

Yes it's his style that uses a weapon but that doesn't mean that just because the other fighters styles don't use weapons, they can't use weapons them selves.

Look at any old side-scrolling fighting games, I'll use Double Dragon as an example. You have two characters that can do moves that aren't humanly possible (jumping in the air and floating there spinning around) yet even they use weapons.

Or even look at a Jackie Chan movie, just about every person in them is an a great martial artists and that doesn't stop them from using things around them as weapons.

Also like Magimaster said, if I'm walking down the street and 10 guys jump me, even if I was a good fighter, if I saw wooden pole sitting there, you can bet I'm gonna pick up the pole and beat everyone's heads in.I'm not even a fan of weapon based fighting (I will still play games like SC though) and I think that using weapons is a little cowardly (or at least not as strong as hand to hand fighting) but I'm not gonna let my pride cloud my judgment and let my head get kicked in and not use a weapon because I'm not a weapons based fighting fan.

Now if the main game had the characters using weapons (besides their item finishing moves) then I could see why someone would be upset. But we are talking about an entirely different mode.

Oh and your MK comment, they use weapons in the freaking main mode.

Gsta, give up. The guy has contradicted himself so many times it's obvious he's just some kind of moron. Do yourself a favour and leave him to think whatever mislead stupidity he wants; it's much simpler for everyone and takes a lot less effort on your part xD
