Nintendo's made some announcements regarding games that will be hitting Japan during summer. Japanese gamers get to look forward to the Wii Sports Resort bundle which will be released on June 25. The Wii Motion Plus add-on will be released separately simultaneously for use with EA's Grand Slam Tennis and Alpha Unit's battling simulation, Batting Revolution.
Monster Hunter 3 will be releasing on August 1 with a Wii bundle and details have emerged about the pay-to-play service. "Payment takes the form of time-limited Hunting Tickets, purchased with WiiPoints. A 30 day ticket will go for 800 WiiPoints, with 60 and 90 days costing respectively 1,500 and 2,000 WiiPoints. Capcom will also be giving players a 20 day free trial period, similar to what they did with Monster Hunter G."
Dragon Quest IX will be releasing on July 11th along with the red DSi. And finally, there's a new Chibi Robo game for the DS which will be released on July 23rd.
With all the big announcements coming out of E3, you might have thought that Nintendo was totally abandoning its home territory for the lucrative North American and European gaming markets. That's definitely not the case.
Today, the company made a flury of announcements over in Japan, giving a sneak peak at its Wii and DS lineups for the summer months.
