Even before the announcement, he already knew Rockstar North was planning to release a new IP for the PS3. He already had an idea of what direction it will take. How is anyone's guess. Maybe it's something the Irish are hiding? Maybe he's part of Rockstar? I can tell you he was just being a jammy dodger, and he'll tell you how. (Ironically 3/4 of his E3 predictions where SPOT on)

Cast your eyes back to our E3 prediction lists and then look up the four predictions I submitted. I got several mail & angry worded comments labelling me a fanboy for this, UP YOURS GUYS, but yes I was right. For those who didn’t read my predictions, one of the few things I said was “Rockstar would announce their new PS3 exclusive franchise.” Now the new questions is, how did I work this out and why are Rockstar so two-faced when it come’s to 3rd Party Deals. On the one hand, they dish out Xbox360 exclusive content for GTAIV, and then on the other they turn around and announce an exclusive game to the PS3. Many would expect this to be multiplatform, and some fanboys will hold onto that, but I’ll save you the bother by explaining how and why Agent came to be, then lightly touch on what it’s actually going to be.

He has an excellent point in that Rockstar are releasing games to match the trends. GTAIV went multiplatform at the pinnacle of the 360's popularity, and now that the PS3 is increasing in demand and is achieving large support, they announce an exclusive title for that platform.

    Smart thinking, R*.

      Its lowering in demand.

I reckon it was in exchange for letting GTA IV go multi plat.

Well, then again, so is the Wii. Though I don't know about the 360. I expect it's lowering too, but knowing how I'm always wrong, it's probably getting increasing demand.

Though that's kind of a 'out-of-the-ass' thing to say. How'd you figure that?

What? That its lowering in demand? NPD numbers, so is 360, but the wii is increasing I think.

I just wanted clarification, for a sec I thought you were just sayin' it without really knowing.

So while the PS3 and 360 are lowering in demand, the Wii is still rising? Wow, I guess there are a lot of people who like carnival golf...

All three consoles's sales have been dropping, they're all about even now overall.

I'm shocked that all of the articles in today's "Top News Stories" have over 200 rates. That doesn't happen often. 'Tis great.

I blame all the E3 coverage -- hopefully a lot of people stick around.
