A man dressed as Resident Evil's HUNK for the Crypticon Horror Convention's "zombie crawl" was recently taken into custody after bystanders mistook him for a masked gunman as he walked into the Metro Clothing store.

A dozen police cars pulled up to the scene with guns drawn. But after realizing their mistake, they issued "Jay" with a disturbance order and soon let him go.

His costume consisted of a black Umbrella Corporation security outfit, knee pads, a knife, a grenade, a gas mask, and a fake machine gun.
Organizers said "Jay" won the top prize for the zombie crawl.

A man dressed for an evening zombie crawl chose a costume that was a bit too realistic, and it ended up getting him arrested.

Maybe if the stupid *bleep* didn't have a gun, this wouldn't've happened...

It has a big orange thing at the end of the nozzle like all toy guns and it was in (or near) a horror convention.

Only a complete *bleep*ing idiot would think 'ah, he's a real gunman'

Hmmm. Looks like the masked gunmen are packing some serious heat these days. It must be because of that masked gunmen union thing.

I don't know about you, but honestly . . . if I were dressed as some sort of militant/gun-wielding person (Unless grossly exaggerated to the point that NO ONE should mistake it as real), I don't believe it would be wise to go into a public place with people not knowing why I looked the way I did. That's just begging to cause trouble.

Also begging to be shot by a little old granny who decided to start carrying a piece for self defense!

Or tasered . . . Yeah, tasered and pepper-sprayed would be more likely . . . and funnier!

He appeared to be carrying a gun, grenade, knife and was wearing a mask and miltary clothes. I don't blame them for calling the police.

But the gun was blatantly a toy and there must have been other cosplayers dressed as zombies and a fair few other RE characters and the like too, so I can't see how it's justified.

Hahaha apparently it was just his luck that he was the first person there.

          True, but still
          quote
"...we did this last weekend," she said. "(There were) a dozen of us walking around in full zombie gear -- blood, guts and nasty skin hanging off and it just went fine."
First there or not they did the same last weekend . Not to mention, I reiterate, the gun was blatantly a toy xD

Guess the neighborhood watch was a bit too vigilant. xD

I'm a bit more annoyed at the fact he won first prize at the zombie crawl even though he wasn't dressed as an actual zombie. XP
