Electronic Theatre reports on the rumours surfacing of a Nintendo DS version of the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed II, including a brief statement from Ubisoft.

As Electronic Theatre reported only two days ago, Play.com has been granted exclusivity for Assassin’s Creed II Black Edition in the UK retail channel. Further to this, however, the administrative team at the online retailer seemed to know more about the forthcoming sequel than had yet been revealed to both press and public, as alongside the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3, PC and PlayStation Portable (tagged Assassin’s Creed II: Bloodlines) releases, the website offers gamers the opportunity to grab the title on Nintendo DS also.
